Sometimes you get to know an artist best by just looking at their work.

Even before you read a description or know who is behind the canvas, something is already happening. Color attracts the eye. Lines make movement. The shapes start telling a story.

That’s where art talks.

The image is characterized by strong visual details and vivid colors. Blues, yellows, purples, reds and greens are mixed with energy and expressiveness. There is plenty to see and the more you look the more you see.

The work doesn’t have to explain everything.

It can only be experienced.

Art Speaks Through Color, Form, and Feeling

Every artist learns a different way of communicating. Some use subtle colors. Some work with strong shapes and bold contrast. Some plan out every detail of a piece, some let the art evolve as they work.

Slow down. That’s the easy way to consume expressive art.

Before you decide what a painting means, take some time with it. Take note of the very first color that captures your eye. Trace the lines onto the canvas. Search for things you may have missed on the first read.

Then ask a simple question: How does it feel to you?

Sometimes the answer will be plain. It'll change sometimes the next time you look at it.

Such is the beauty of art.

It doesn’t always have to whisper a message in plain language. Sometimes it speaks in color, movement, imagination and feeling.

And when a work of art makes you stop and look again, maybe it has already said exactly what it needed to say .
